Would appreciate some advice on this one. I have an older A12 back (without a crank handle) that whenever I load the film and flip the wind-on back a touch to drop #1 into view it goes to #2, 3 or even 4 instead. Any ideas as to how I can correct this? Thank you.

I would send it out for a CLA which should also cover the light seals and frame spacing. I do not do adjustments or repairs since the cost is lower than doing it myself and finding parts left or not working properly.

When you reset the frame counter on one of the old #12 film backs, the dial is supposed to spin until it hits a small plastic bumper. But the tip of said bumper can crack with age, and when it does, the counter will spin freely to some random number when you reset it. You need to replace said bumper. I've fabricated replacements using scraps of plastic found around the home. It must not have been too difficult, because that was one of the first camera repairs I ever did.
