Hi,

I'm new to this forum although I've been lurking for a while so please bear with me,

A few weeks ago I bought a Hasselblad 500cm with Planar 80mm,

The camera quickly presented a severe focusing issue which I remedied by replacing the foam pads under the mirror and giving the body a full CLA in the process, including a few modifications which should have been carried out 20 years ago.... the focus is now pin sharp and the body performing perfectly.

Now I have an issue with the slow shutter speed settings so need to service the shutter,

Question is, does anyone have a Hasselblad Compur Shutter service manual they could send me?,

Ps, I've serviced and repaired various Rollei Compur shutters over the years with 100% success, the Hasselblad Compur is buried quite deep in the lens so I require the manual as a guide to accessing the unit/getting it back together.

Anyone attempted this?

Thanks,

Rich

I wouldn't tear into one myself, but managed to find a complete repair manual on the internet. I remember it was at one of those sites that archive documents. I think it was oriented toward CF era lenses and Prontor shutters.

Is it possible to change the shutter in a hasselblad lens from Compur to Prontor? Or have this modification done? I ask because the Prontor Shutters are designed to fire dry (no grease) which is a benefit to shooting in cold weather where grease can freeze.
