Hasselblad and flash sync cable question

1st off, greetings everyone! I'm fairly new here other than occasionally picking up a few items from the classifieds.

Recently I've started using flash with my Hasselblad, and I've noticed that pc sync cables do not attach securely to the post on the Hassy lenses. Instead of securely plugging onto the socket, it feels like it's simply resting on top of it. The electrical connection is adequate-everything is working as needed, but it's difficult to keep the cord attached to the lens. I don't believe this is a manufacturing tolerance issue, as this happens on 3 different lenses (all C lenses) and with different sync cords.

What am I missing? Has anyone experienced something similar and if so how did you deal with it? I suppose I could slightly crimp the cord socket or break out the gaff tape, but those solutions just seem a bit heavy handed.

thanks in advance!

Buy a new cord from Paramount (http://www.paramountcords.com/) and specify the "long" PC termination for Hasselblad.

All Paramount cords are custom assembled, so you can specify a particular termination for the flash end as well. I did this for a Metz hammerhead flash and am very pleased with its reliability. Paramount also sells a PC terminal conditioner that will adjust snugness of the connections.

No, I don't have any interest in Paramount, other than as a satisfied customer.

Thanks, David! I see they even have a tip specifically for C lenses. I'll give it a shot.
