I just purchased a Hasselblad 503cx and when I went to test it out, before I could even take a picture the camera body jammed half way through winding the film advance mechanism. I was just winding the body without a back or lens on. Right now the mirror is stuck half way up, the barn doors are open, and the film advance is stuck and will not rotate.

I've tried searching around for solutions, but haven't found any as of yet, not too many people seem to have the issue I'm having with the mirror stuck half way. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I purchased it from keh recently so it should still be under warranty if it's completely broken, but it would be nice to be able to keep it.

Send it to KEH and they will take care of it. The lens needed a CLA and the shutter trigger shaft has jammed. I had this happen when I received the 500mm lens. Samys' repair person removed the body for me and KEH CLA'd the lens. I never had a problem again.

Try to bang the side where the winding knob is against your other hand and see if what's hanging it up releases. It just may be a stuck lever. Don't go crazy banging it though.
