Lens would be included but have been looking around on different websites ect and see that prices are between 1200-1500 in the states and about the same in europe but in euro ...so now have to rethink the amount I think I would possibly take 1100 euro for her or something in that price range because she is in great shape and would like to pass her own to another good home..

Hmm.... That looks like the CB version of the 80mm lens, isn't it?
Perhaps the higher price that you are looking at comes with the 80mm CF* or CFi version?

Who pays shipping? Also, keh indeed tells me an EX+ camera costs 1400$ but it also comes with a 15 day no questions asked return if I am not satisfied with the camera AND a 6 month warranty. I would be able to pay 1000$ + shipping for this combo. Please let me know if you are interested.

But it makes a big difference in price.

I sent you a PM regarding questions about your 501CM.

But it makes a big difference in price.

You are right, they seem to go for at least $100 higher than a CF on ebay completed auctions...

In defense of the seller, he is not far off the mark if not dead on. I would post a photo of the camera's back without the back on, showing any wear on the light seal.

Like it or not, both 501CM's and 503CW's have gone up in price in the past couple years, they fetch a good price on ebay or KEH. I own two of them in chrome, paid $550 for my first one in 2010 and over $800 for the second one a month ago in the same EX+ condition, body only.

That is a beautiful kit in black sir, I would not take less than $1,300 for it. Hold your line and let the vultures go elsewhere...

PKM-25, in case you were referring to me as "vulture", I would appreciate if you are a bit courteous.

My last price, 1200$ and you pay the shipping. Please let me know if you are interested. If not, I sincerely hope you get the price you are looking for. (And I am not being sarcastic here).

No, just a general statement.....

The guy should get what it is worth if he is not desperate to sell it super fast. If it ends up too rich for your blood, I hope you can score one you want, it is what I consider the best 500 series camera they have ever made, hence my reason for having two.

PKM-25, I am not sure how you are arriving to this conclusion. KEH sold a EX+ 501CM Black with WL for 700 a few days back. A EX+ A12 back costs 215 (currently listed). And a EX+ 80 CB is 569$ (currently listed). That makes it just under 1500. Now, if this camera is coming from Italy, you need to factor in the following things:

1. Shipping
2. Customs
3. No idea if the camera is actually in a EX+ state since if not, return would be a very cumbersome and costly affair
4. KEH gives 6 month warranty and they make sure you are absolutely elated with your purchase. And lots of times, they entertain you even after 6 months.
5. One of the most important thing, KEH actually services the camera and lubricates all internal parts to make sure they work as good as a camera just coming out of the factory new. I would assume such a thing is absent with this camera.

You have to realise that 1500 is also contributed to due to the brand name which KEH had built over time which I suppose you would agree the original poster does not have. Please correct me if my assumption is wrong.

1200 is not a bad price.. won't you agree?

I suppose I would agree but I think the OP needs to say what screen is in it, I recall the black one that sold did not specify an acute matte which now seem to command a small fortune.

I bought both my 501CM's from KEH, they are great...

I also think I should leave the thread since I am not a buyer at this time.

Hey, i didn't post my initial comments regarding the CB lenses with a specific intent to affect the asking price.. Don't get me wrong please..
Just intended to highlight the possible differences it might make since seller stated, "I think it is well worth 800-900 euro shipping would be from Italy".

Thanks everyone this is why I like apug...I am not desperate for sure ...just have 2 hasselblads so would like to sell one..I really love my 203fe shooting outside changing lite ect...camera was made 1999 ,focus screen acute Matt d the normal one will post some new photos still have an unfinished role of film to shoot..insert for back is matching ..

I think shipping will maybe cost 50-80 bucks camera isn't that heavy
Customs not sure but I know when someone send me something from states and puts gift or happy birthday never paid duties not sure about the other way around but when I arrive at the right price will check cost of shipping..

Also I remember buying my first Chevy ,the guy was asking certain price was a nice car but didn't have the original engine and some other stuff was missing original..

Let's say he was asking 1 dollar yeah 1 dollar with original engine..
Then then there was another guy selling the same car 1.80 but had original engine along with everything else
Original ..I decided to pay more for original one because I new if I ever wanted to sell it in the future I would have a better chance with it having original pieces ect..

Anyway I think is the same with cameras most these online camera shops sell in pieces just to make more money off a camera ..poor camera ....nothing wrong with making money but there has to be a limit...especially for a hasselblad and other cameras...

My camera is in great condition that is all I can say not looking to rip anyone off here but won't sell it for nothing less then what she is worth...
Thanks everyone input is good...

lucakai, fair enough. In case you decide to sell it for 1200 including shipping, please send me a PM. And I sincerely hope you get the price you are looking for, although, for the record, I think you are expecting too much.

Nothing wrong in stating facts. You stated a valid point and I think you did the right thing. It might sound rude and cruel, but this is a USED camera and the seller WILL have to understand that they do not have the brand value as KEH and likes and have to adjust prices according to that.

Yes if OP wants a premium price he needs to say when last serviced, matching back numbers, screen type, more exact cosmetic condition etc.

Shipping and exchange rate will be a problem for a US buyer of whatever feather. KEH dollars are irrelevance.

The euro market place may be picking up from recession as well - the UK housing market estate agents are looking fatter. Some of our stuff goes to Ch.

They don't. They base their ratings on cosmetics only. You can buy a EX+ 501 CM body or something and it'll look fantastic, but it might not even work as it should. But that's why their return policy exists, for the few times that something like that happens which is why KEH is good.

Also, I thought the CB version was less expensive than the CF/CFE lens since isn't it made of cheaper materials (more plastic)? I believe the "B" stands for budget or something. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Basic and budget They only miss the CF function, i.e. you cannot switch the leaf shutter off when the lens is used on a focal plane shutter body.
