It seems that randomly (though I'd say every 8 shots on average) the rear shutter gets stuck on its way open when the shutter button is pressed on my recently acquired Hasselblad . It was owned by a professional photographer and very nice guy so I'm sure that he will be able to help...but anyways is this is a common problem? It seems to be utterly physical as the two flaps are just getting caught on each other, though it only happens when the back is on.

He says that the last service was just over a year ago. It doesn't seem to do any damage to my film. Its just really annoying.

It's a pretty common problem, The flaps are a friction fit on a shaft & can rotate over time.
There's another thread here with the same problem but more extreme shift.
The shell has to be removed for access to repair it.

Its not an intense or complicated repair, right? I don't intend on dissecting the camera myself, just wondering about the severity...

Take it to the last place that did a CLA. They can find its service in the records and will probably adjust it for free. That way you will come back for bigger things.
