Hello everyone,

Due to undertaking a new photo project in large format photography, I've come to terms with the selling of my trusty Hassy. It's a great 500 C/M used but not abused, ready-to-shoot kit that I believe can see some more action for many more years and includes:

- 500 C/M body: 100% mechanically sounds and cosmetically still quite clean (see photos); please note body has a small 1"x1.5" piece of black velcro attached on left side that was used to attach a Paul Buff wireless transmitter (can easily be removed but will probably need to wipe clean possible glue residue)

- 80mm f2.8 Planar T lens (Carl Zeiss): 100% functional with clean, accurate & good sounding shutter releases at all speeds providing consistent exposures; 2 small minor surface marks on front glass multi coating, no registration whatsoever on negatives or slides

- Hasselblad Filter Bayonet Adapter & HZ-0 protective filter (mounted on lens front)

- Standard waist-level viewfinder with folding magnifying loupe

- 45 degree Prism Viewfinder NC-2100 with original box for SLR/reflex like shooting (non-metered; eyepiece is well worn but can be easily unscrewed & swapped for a newer one)

- A24 back for 220 rolls in perfect working order, winds smoothly, purchased from KEH 2 years ago with winding lever cover missing (doesn't affect operation)

- A12 back for 120 rolls in good working order, winds smoothly but gets leaky in high contrast light: needs new light seals ($10 on Ebay) and dark slide has a few marks on it but still works tight

- Polaroid back Hasselblad Magazine 100 with original box and instruction manual to shoot Fuji FP-100C and FP-3000B instant print films (with 3 shots of Fuji FP-100C left in it)

- Like-new mechanical cable release for vibration-free tripod operations

Asking $1000 OBO for everything. Accepting cash for local trade in Vancouver, BC as well as Interac e-transfers or Paypal payments for the rest of Canada and the continental US. I can provide more detailed photos on request and am happy to answer any question on APUG. Cheers!

Hi Marc,
I'm already set with a Toyo 45A myself and two lenses, so no trade interest here, sorry!

Tx for the encouragement! Looks like there aren't too many MF photographers looking for gear in the dead of summer

Jane, as you probably know, complete kits are often harder to sell than breaking stuff up as someone with no need or desire for say, an A24, or Polaroid back, or that prism, will allocate no value towards such items vs what they want to pay for the rest of the kit. That and being new to this site with your first post a FS listing sort of is a harder sell than a regular APUG member and contributor with a sales history behind them. Your price is very fair but again only for someone who wants all that and adds each item up when valuing the kit in their mind.

Heck if I did not already have a Hassy setup I'd be tempted for sure at this price and sell off piecemeal what I don't want myself!

Looks like a lot of equipment for a very fair price. Unfortunately, I have 7 500 C/M's in the safe right now! Good Luck!

I bought a similar kit last week with an extra 150mm for almost double this price. Not a scratch anywhere and all boxes were included, but I kinda wish I held out for this instead.

Anyone thinking of getting a 500cm kit, better snatch this up ASAP. You'll never see one again at this price with this much stuff. And using the polaroid back is a blast!

Is this still available? Right now I'm in the process of clearing out some surplus Nikon gear. If this goes through, I'd like to buy this. I've always wanted to own a Hasselbald.

Thank you everyone for your interest, comments and support, those make APUG such a unique, friendly and resourceful forum!

The camera kit just sold locally, so this thread is now closed! I do have another add up for a Nikon F2 set with 3 lenses.

Cheers
