This is one of the top-of-the line lens of the Hasselblad system. I bought it new and used it very little. I quit using my Hasselblad system ~10 years ago and this lens has not been used since. It's a special purpose lens with unique optical design which gives perfect chromatic correction. An ideal lens for close portraits and tightly framed shots. The lens for sale is in Excellent Plus condition. Cosmetically, it shows very little sign of usage. Glass elements are clean without scratch and fungus. Focusing is smooth and accurate.

Zeiss Superachromats are amongst the very few MF lenses to hit the diffraction limit of white light 250 lp/mm @ ƒ/5,6.

The Superachromat was designed for Zeiss by Prof. Maxmillian Herzberger who was actually a visiting professor here in the US in my undergraduate studies. Day & nite differences with the 250 Sonnar, I sold my SA last year. L
