Hasselblad 2000FC Focal plane shutter problem

Hello, I have a problem with my focal plane shutter on my Hasselblad 2000FC (1980).
The camera jams at times between 1 sec and 1/15 sec.
At C, B and times from 1/30 to 1/2000 it fires and closes at is should. But at slow times the shutter stays open, and is not closed until the lever is placed at B or in C position.

I have just replaced the battery to a new fresh one as I thought that the problem was low current.
And the curtain is in good order, with no dents. And have been working.

Does anybody have any suggestion what to do, or what could have happened?
Is there any DIYs to do (I suspect non)


The problem isn't that big as the camera is working with my C-lenses. But maybe one day I would like to be able to use my F80/2.8 (the only non C)

An update:
No CLA will cure my problem. As the problem is bigger than that.
The repair man I spoke to told me it could be two/three different problems causing the fault I have, ie the second curtain doesn't close.
One could be the magnets was "worn out" so they don't trip the curtain. Not repairable as no new magnets are to be found.
And second could be that the spring (and ball) that makes the dial stay in the desired position are worn out. This can be fixed be replacing the spring. But the whole body has to be disassembled. And not very likely.
And third that the contact ring behind the lever is worn out, and by that is misaligned with no contact. New parts aren't available.

So my 2000FC house will be a part of my small camera museum on the bookshelf. And a "new" 500C/M is on it's way.

Or much more likely, the grease in the mechanism that trips the second curtain has dried out, making it sticky, or there is corrosion causing stickiness, or foam has gone gooey and caused the shutter curtain to become sticky.

Magnets don't "wear out" in my experience, and springs don't generally wear out either. Grease dries out quite often. Things corrode and jam. Foam deteriorates and turns into a gooey mess that clogs mechanisms.

All of these can be easily fixed by cleaning, lubricating, and adjustment.

Of course the actual cause of your issues won't be found through speculation - it'll be found by someone who knows what they're doing actually taking a look. And from the sound of it, the "repair man" you spoke to isn't one of those people.

The curtains are 'tripped' by the magnets mentioned.
Permanent magnets (also wear but) may not wear much. But they are not much good for use as a switch.
So the magnets in the Hasselblad are not.

Such parts are probably no longer available. And, more importantly, the repair would cost way too much. (these are rather complicated machines, and even when still current, there were not many repairmen who liked working on them.)

From the sound of it, i'd certainly say that this repairman does indeed know what he was talking about.

The magnets are electro-magnets and work by being turned off & on by the circuitry in the camera. In some 35mm cameras the armature surfaces become"sticky" and can be cleaned.
The hard part is finding someone competent on your camera.
Here in the US I believe one highly recommended is David Odess.

Do you have the same problem with more than one lens?

I had this problem with an 2000FCW but it turned out to be a problem with a lens instead of the camera.
(doesn't have to be anything like your problem but try another lens if possible)
