I just received my first Hasselblad, the ususal 500cm with 80mm Planar set.
The lens appears to have a focus issue, on infinity, the lens is actually focussed on something about 30cm away. The barrel moves as I turn the focus ring, and the focus becomes closer, but by only about 5cm at the 90cm end.
Any ideas on what's causing this, and whether it can be fixed?
It came with one of the older style prism finders, any chance either this or the ground glass are out of alignment and causing the image to look out of focus? I will run some film through it tomorrow to test.
I found this out the hard way yesterday, after realising I couldn't mount the lens on the tube, or the tube on the body. All fine now after twisting the screw on the tube, and noted for next time!
Strangely enough it was my first thought as well, but the extension tube was so well camouflaged I thought it was part of the lens, even after a closer look...still, and easy fix is great, even if I do feel a bit of a dill.
