BEAUTIFUL WORKING Hasselblad 1000f camera with Tessar 80mmf/2.8 lens and C12 Back. Also includes strap and manual. Cosmetics of the camera are MINT- Looks barely used.

Condition: Camera shutter is working at all speeds and appear fairly accurate. See the video for the one second exposure. Shutter curtain foil has a two, very small and minor dings but no light leaks. Finder, mirror and rest of camera very good. Lens is clean clear however there is a crescent shaped area of haze towards the rear cell (see picture). Its just at the edge - lens is still useable as-is. Back shows little to no use. Numbers match! Even the manual is in excellent and clean condition. $ 899 plus shipping. I ship worldwide to PayPal addresses

As a long, long ago owner of a 1000F, I can say that the most crucial and valuable part of this kit is the manual. A new owner must read instructions thoroughly before touching camera and follow them exactly.
The 1000F has one strong point. With adapters a wide range of lenses can be used, including Leica and Zeiss lenses made for 35mm cameras. Killfit adapters show up on the usual auction site.

interesting. I had not realized that Hasselblad used Zeiss lenses on these cameras; I had assumed that they were all supplied with Kodak Ektars. (When I worked at Kodak, we found a 1000F-mount 135/3.5 Ektar in a drawer. We donated it to the George Eastman Museum, as they did not have one.)

Long after demise of my 1000F, I bought a 2000FCM. With Killfit adapters and adapters made by using Hasselblad micro lens block I was able to once again use my Killfit, Leica, Zeiss, and Nikon lenses. For years my standard lens was Killfit 90mm MacroKillar, and my only Hassy lens was 60mm. Only able to afford Hasselblad lenses when prices dropped due to arrival of digital capture. Now awaiting death of 2000 FCM (think Wotan waiting for death of oak tree and Valhalla). Believe it or not, longer Leitz, Zeiss, and Nikon lenses cover 66 format.
For eBay, add Killfit to your watch list because they show up occasionally.

The 1600F (the first Hasselblad) had Ektar lenses. I owned one 35+ years ago with 80mm and 135mm Ektars. At that time I had a brochure that also showed, if memory serves, 50mm and 250mm Ektars, but I've never seen either and if they existed at all they were almost certainly prototypes or mock-ups.

After a few years the 1600F was replaced by the much-more-reliable 1000F, which shared the same lens mount. I don't know if it was ever offered with Ektar lenses, or only with Zeiss glass.

And then came the 500C...

My own 1000F came with Ektar lens, it was by using adapters that Zeiss, Leitz, etc lenses were used. After death of 1000F, I kept film magazines, which were used much later on 2000FCM. Unfortunately, great Ektar lens not adaptable, but able to fit MicroKilar with adapter. I only replacedoriginal 1000F film magazines a few years ago.
The package offered for sale is historically significant. But with 1000F, absolutely necessary to follow instructions when advancing film and cocking shutter because repair is most likely impossible. However, would be fun to shoot camera established Hasselblad as most coveted MF SLR.

I once had to have a 1000F repaired by Frank Marshman at Camera Wiz.
Not sure if Frank is still working.
