Hi - Just got my Hasseblad 500c with 80mm C. I notice that If I wind the shutter at the speed I want to release or close to, the timing seems ok. However, if I wind the shutter at higher speed (e.g. 1/500) and then change shutter speed to 1/8 and then release. The 1/8 timing seems to be obviously slower than it should that I can hear gear running. i am wondering if this is normal or problem I should be concerning? Thanks.

At slower speeds you’ll hear a “buzz”... that’s the slow speed timing escapement. But I’d 1/8 or any other speed doesn’t sound right, then the shutter probably needs servicing. Completely normal, especially given how old a 500C and the C lens is.
