Hass Intellifaucet D250, power light always on?

I just got my two Hass Intellifaucet D250 mixing valves installed in my darkroom and while all is working well, I am a bit taken aback by the lack of a power switch.

I’m never really a fan of things drawing power when not in use but the big thing that has me scratching my head is the power light seems to always be on when the units are plugged in.

I’ll either have to unplug them at the back of the unit or cover the light with gaffer’s tape when loading film.

Anyone have any thoughts on this, work arounds like putting a switch in between the unit and the power supply?

Mine is plugged into an outlet strip that has a power switch. Luckily, in my DR, it's not in direct view of my film loading area, so the light isn't a problem.

Personally, I'd just cover the pilot lights with black tape. But if you don't want them to have power all the time, the obvious thing would seem to be a switched outlet.

On a little different note, something I learned many years ago in large scale finishing operations is to never, ever put a light that can be accidentally switched on into a film winding/loading area. If you're gonna give public workshops, it's probably just a matter of time before someone accidentally leans against that switch, or is feeling for the wall, etc. I've learned this sort of thing the hard way, and will.say that something in favor of learning this way is that the lesson tends to stick better.

I have one as well. The faucet is constantly on if it's connected to power. The indicator light will constantly be lit. I taped over mine so that it doesn't fog film. However, I should probably add a switched outlet for it so the faucet and its power supply transformer aren't constantly wasting electricity.
