I believe the 500 series had this problem until the GMS (gliding mirror system) on the 503CW/501CM - has the 2003FCW got the GMS or a bigger mirror?
On a historical note: the 2000-series were the first to get what is now called the GMS, back in 1977!
Next in line to get the bigger mirror was the 500 ELX in 1985 (all later EL(...) models of course have it too).
The non-motorized 500 series cameras were last in line, with the 503 CW in 1996, and the 501 CM in 1997.
Hasselblad perhaps felt uncomfortable using a marketing name like GMS while their mainstay camera still did not have it. So the GMS designation only appeared when the 503 CW did.
20 years after the thing itself appeared in the 2000-series!
