I'm looking at some of this stuff on EBay. It's super cheap, so I might as well just pick it up anyways, but I wanted to see what people's experiences have been like.
How are the results? Is it what you'd expect from 2-buck-a-roll chinese film? Or does it surprise like SHD100 did?
I've used a few rolls of this film, quite OK as a general purpose film, equivalent to the consumer offerings from Kodak and Fuji. As with any color neg, much depends on the quality of the processing and printing.#
Lucky were in a joint venture with Kodak a few years ago, so no doubt the technology is similar to that of Kodak films of the time. (I have some o/d Kodak color neg which says "Made in China, finished and packed in Australia).
It is a good film. It is also discontinued since September last year. So, don't get used to it: what you see selling is the last of it. But, it might last for some time.
BTW, China Lucky has said that B&W SHD100 is still in production, but it seems supplies are thin.
Selections of color film are getting thin in general. Especially E6 offerings. Hopefully things will improve somewhat in the future, but somehow I doubt it.
