I recently picked up an OM4 cheaply in a lot with a couple lenses I was after and of course, even though it’s in rough shape, all the main functions appear to work except that it has an issue with the diopter not moving and being misadjusted. I got the camera top off and the diopter apart and it had a bunch of oil in it for some reason, which I have to think shouldn’t be there. It is also missing the flat slim piece of glass that sits closest to the eye and protects the diopter lenses (LC420400). In any case, the oil is removed and it’s cleaned up but the diagram in the service manual doesn’t indicate how it goes back together clearly enough for me to be sure that the person who was inside this thing before me (and inexplicably oiled it up) had it together correctly. Basically, even though it appears they go together one way, I’m not convinced my lenses are in the right order and flipped the right way around. They’re also not seating together properly.

I know it’s a long shot, but maybe someone has some photos from a prior repair, or some first hand experience with one of these? I have a user OM4 but I really don’t want to take it apart and risk screwing it up just to get this other one working. I really like that camera.
