Has anyone here tried Tech Pan in Diafine?

Yesterday I did for the first time - It was home made Diafine from a formula I found around here somewhere. 3 min in A and 45 sec in B - it worked surprizingly well - Right at N I think.

It is on my "to do" list. I plan to try it with diluted "roll your own" Diafine-like A bath.

Yes. Check www.unblinkingeye.com. I used Gene Crumpler's times (3min in A, 45s in B). However, there have been a lot of threads regarding whether or not the average photographer can tell the difference between Diafine and Technidol or the Formulary's brews. For my random photography, Diafine with its long shelf life is better than one-shot Technidol. I'm glad I have most of a bulk spool in the freezer since Kodak will discontinue Tech Pan.

To quote myself (APUG thread):

I seem to either end up with too dense and too contrasty or not dense enough - and have not found a middle ground yet. Tech pan and diafine rule

I do 3 min A and 45 sec B. With B I use 1 inversion after 22 seconds. I get good 30x40 inch prints from 35mm.
