Has anyone ever tried "filing out" an Epson holder?

I'd like to get full frame 35mm scans with boarders. I was thinking of taking some very fine sandpaper and enlarging the 'aperture' of the Epson holder. I do have a better scanning holder, but using it is slightly more time consuming vs the Epsons. Has anyone ever tried this? Seen this done?

Spare holders can be bought for about ten or twenty dollars. So if you screw it up, you can always buy another holder. Good luck and let us know how your made out. I might try that with my 120 holder for the V600 if you're successful.
