Haven't had an overnighter for some time, and when I took the Harrison Jumbo changing tent out of its stuff sack the elastic in the bungees has stretched out and is stiff, with no elasticity.
It was stored in a closet for several months. The last time I used it the poles had plenty of spring.
Does anyone have an idea where to get one's poles re-elasticised?
I'm sure I could contact Harrison, but might need to buy a new set of poles. The aluminum is fine, just the bungees are dead.

Hi, you can buy bungee type elastic at the hardware store. It comes on big spools and you can buy it by the foot. Another option would be REI. On the other hand, the manufacturer might repair them if you contact them.

How doth one secure the bungee to the ends of the poles? Does REI sell in 8 foot lengths?
I have a call in to Camera Essentials, purveyors of the Harrison Jumbo Tent. No response yet.

REI will have it on a big spool. Ask for "shock cord" in the climbing/backpacking area. It's easy to replace.

Chandlery store. They keep various thicknesses for different jobs on boats.

tying a knot in the ends should do it if you have a tickness which fills the tube.
