Your milage may vary and all other the usual provisos but I've opened a sealed container of Harman Warmtone developer within the last few days, purchased in 2010 and it still works absolutely fine. The instructions state 2 years reliable life expectancy but I suspect Harman are being conservative.
I think that Ilfod and other chemistry makers are very consertive in their use by dates, I amd using some Firstcal print developer that is a year past it's use buy date and still clear and working fine, same goes for some Fotospeed WT10 print developer, and I found, when I used Harman WT developer that it kept going even when going brown

I've been using Fotospeed LD20 'best before' 2010 recently with good results... I do remember reading about your problems with the FD10 developer a few years ago, presumably you use something else now?
