Hansa 50mm enlarger lens

So, on my newly aquired Lpl 6600 there is a Hansa (spelled hanza) 6-element 50/2.8 lens with m39 threads.
I know that the early canons were branded hansa-canon, but that is 70 years ago.
Is hansa still related to canon? Does it still exist? What is the background story? Very little information so far on Google.
 
If you have the lens in your possession, maybe you could tell us about it? How do you know it is 6 element? Is is multicoated? I the barrel metal or plastic? How does it perform? What does it look like?
 
Today's Hansa is a trademark of Omiya Photo Supply. This page suggests the trademark expired 18 years ago, and the Camerapedia page on Omiya has a bit more info. I have a "Hama"-branded Hansa contact printing frame and it is one of the better pieces of darkroom equipment I use.

It says "6 elements" on the front barrel. Also "lens made in Japan" on the side. No indication of coating types. Fstops from 2.8 - 16. 8 aperture blades. No plastic, all metal and quite heavy for its size.

If it is the same as a Beseler Color Pro it is a good/excellent quality lens.
