The name indicates that it was sold by Hanimex. An australian importer of various goods, but they had their strenghts in photographic goods. Later they also had things manufactured for them. Also they acted no longer as importer to Australia, but also served the European market, at least West-Germany with even an office here.
There was a lot of local third party rebranding, in the case of Hanimex it was Praktica and Chinon Slrs in Australia, we had similar with Dixons selling Zenit and later Chinon Slr cameras in the UK as Prinz(flex) and similarly rebranding the lenses. Later they all reverted to the Chinon name itself.
