I recently purchased a Bronica Model L Hand Grip for my Bronica C, the type with two chrome-plated knobs on the lower plate and the curious chain arrangement. The physical installation onto the bottom of the left side of the camera itself is straightforward. My problem is that while one end of the chain appears to be able to be screwed into the front lower right side shutter release button of the camera, I see no means by which depressing the button on the top of hand grip will do anything other than raise the front lever on the lower front of the hand grip. I note that there are no holes in that lever into which the opposite end of the chain could be clipped. There were no instructions with the hand grip and I can find no photographs or instruction booklets available anywhere on the Internet that would provide a clue how this chain is supposed to work. I would appreciate any insight that anyone has on this equipment. In passing, the camera itself and the few lenses I have for it have functioned very well indeed.
