Greetings from Tasmania ... is that you in your avatar pic - dapper indeed. My dad was born in Dysart.. only an hour away from Hampden Park according to Google. Some 85+ years he left Dysart to work in a coal mine in Collie Western Australia ... looking at Dysart one can only wonder why he left such a beautiful part of the world. I have only recently moved into a Mamiya RB67 Pro SD and absolutely love the format.. I dream of 4x5 or larger. Building my darkroom this week and waiting on my order of raw chemicals to arrive - always used package stuff but now very excited about going from raw... Welcome from one of the Swan clan... apparently a nomadic clan that roamed the lands...
Welcome J.P, my father was born in Glasgow but came to England with his family as a baby. I have only been to Glasgow once myself to change trains when traveling to St.Andrews.
Welcome to APUG. Beautiful picture by the way, make sure you print this as soon as you get to a darkroom. Cheers
I too like the image you have posted. I lived in BishopBriggs for a year in 1980 and worked at the Southern General Hospital in Paisley. The frost suggests climate has changed since my time. In 1980 it rained every day to Christmas then snowed 1/4 inch which melted in a few hours then rained for the next six months. We use to drive to Motherwell to get out of the rain!
As a non sequitur, I just bought a 1855 Daguerreotype by a photographer at 14 Buchanan Street!
Welcome
