That's such an extremely Japanese thing . As a Japanese speaker, electrical engineer, and happy Hakko customer, it was right up my alley.

Ha, I wish. Unfortunately, while I speak Japanese OK, my reading ability is nearly nonexistent. I took Japanese in high school, then lived there for a while in my early 20s. I never made the effort required to memorize enough kanji to read well.

There must be plenty of project reports in the country of origin, including technical discussions.

A Google Translate expedition would be a good idea.
