Hakan Strand ...seemingly no affectations

What did he do follow M. Kenna around.

Eric, this from the link I provided:

" Håkan’s Scandinavian influences are reflected in the simplicity of the compositions and his work pays tribute to the traditions of photographers such as Michael Kenna. “Silent Moments is about turning away from the hectic pace of modern life, putting time aside for moments of stillness and timelessness. With his use of light and shade, rhythm and form, Strand reconnects us with nature in a special way”.

Good work. The photos without a road (and tire marks in the snow) are more timeless, of course.

"Paying tribute" is a cheap way of trying to copy someone's style and trying to get away with it.

Perhaps similar to the efforts of photographers who photograph lakes, birch trees, pretty women, mountains, clouds, people on the street?
