Ok, I have found out the following:
Pin 1 (bottom left) is ground, warning signal + is at pin 3.
When measuring voltage between pin 2 and 7, the camera fired. Taking into account the very high inner resistance that a multimeter should have in its voltage range, some 100 kiloohm should be sufficent to fire the camera. I touched the probes and it also fired. By wednesday I will borrow a resistance decade and do some further research.
Does anybody know which plug type is used here? It has the dimensions of miniature DIN connectors, but these eight pins are placed regulary in a circle. The 8 pin mini DIN type has a more irregular layout.
