Hello everyone, new to the forum. I was just wondering if anyone have had the same issue as i have or know what could be wrong. I have been using my fuji GW690 II for a while and the photos come out pretty nicely. I havent really tested the condition of the rf/lens alignment but i almost exclusively use it for landscape and architecture at quite small apertures and so far i haven't had any missed focus shots. What I have noticed though is that when the camera hasn't been used for a while the extruding element of the lens isn’t extruding all the way as if something is a little stuck. I always have to pull it from infinity to minimum focusing distance and back a couple of times before focusing to get the lens to follow my hand motion correctly. It seems to do the trick but the lens not wanting to cooperate worries me. I havent seen anyone else with this problem even though its starting to become a popular camera so any help is appreciated. Cheers!

It sounds a bit like it would be old lube. Sometimes the solvents will evaporate out & thicken the lube.
It may be as simple(!) as having the camera cleaned.

The GW690 does not have a collapsing lens, so I'm assuming you are referring to the focus helicoid? Are you saying that the lens does not focus when you rotate the focus ring? If so, most focus rings from this era use set screws hidden under the rubber focus ring that locks the focus ring to the helicoid. If these set screws loosen, then the ring sometimes rotates without tuning the interior helicoid.

Oh thank you I will definitely check that!
