Hi
I picked up three of these shutters in a box of bibs and bobs.
Haven't seen anything else like them, thought some might find them interesting.
They all work, one was complete, but I should be able to complete the other two with few bits.

I 3-D printed a couple, and the exposure is pretty good. Unfortunately, without some kind of damping mechanism - maybe this pro unit has them - it generates too much shock to the system.

With the cam and spring mechanism it opens and closes relatively smoothly, but it's for long exposures, nothing under a second. They're probably 150 years old or there abouts.

They look like they're benefit from soaking in a bucket of oil for a few weeks. Very cool.

Could sharpen the blades.

I wish there was a place that sold bibs and bobs near me those are phenomenal. Yes sharpen, but also polish the blade so it becomes more frictionless you'll have less wobble and it'd be more of a pleasure to use. It will work well off your camera too when you don't have a cheese knife and break out the charcuterie board and breads for your lunch or a snak when you get hungry while backpacking and photographing a remote hillside.
