This is my second gw/gsw series camera. They have the same mint condition. The first camera is gw690ii and this one is gsw690ii.
When I got my gsw690ii, I note when the camera is held face downward, the hood is loose and is in working position. But my first camera does not have this problem, the hood is really tight.
My question is, is this a common issue on gw series?
I have a GW 690II I haven't had an issue. I have heard of others who have, people have gone so far as removing the factory lens hood, and using a 67mm screw in hood.
I think removing the original would not be my approach, I think it can be adjusted by a technician.

I just checked my II. The shutter count is 83. So that's 830 clicks in roughly 25 years or so I've had it. The lens hood stays in place doesn't move when pointing the camera. It slides easily in and out.
I mainly use the GW690III and GSW690III these days, much easier to load for me, plastic outer shell is better for the way I shoot.
