I don't know how it happened, but I seem to have lost the dark slide for my one and only 6X7 back on my GS-1. (The only surprise is it didn't happen sooner.:rolleyes:smile: I've done some cursory searches for a replacement, but have come up dry. Now, here is the thing. I am likely to buy another back in the near future, though probably a 6X6 (or a 6X4.5) Are these dark slides compatible with my missing 6X7? Or... are the slides from the other Bronica models a suitable fit. How else am I to get my 6X7 back off? Um... can I make my own? If anyone has experience with this I'd like to know what to do besides buying another 6X7 back.

Cheers,

25£! That really is ransom. Before I jump in that deep I'll take another sweep of my car. (things have a way of magically turning up under the driver's seat. :rolleyes:smile: If I had the dimensions, (hint, hint any GS users with a good eye and a ruler ) I have an appropriately thin sheet of brushed aluminum that might do the trick.

Found one! Koh's Camera $20 plus $2 air shipping. Much less like a ransom (or extortion). Nice folks, too. Nice email from a guy named Jimmy.

Quick update on this. I reached in my top darkroom drawer to get some scissors last night and pulled out my original darkslide. I can't tell you the number of times I searched that particular drawer. (I'm pretty methodical... if it's not in the camera, it goes in the top drawer... This time it just became invisible) So now I have two. The good news is I'm only out $22... and I got to meet Jimmy Koh. I will definitely send more business his way.

Cheers,
