Forgetfulness can be a great excuse for seniors. I have not used it, but I know others that play that card when it is useful and convenient.

I asked my wife. She said I am. By the way, I'm 34.

My wife says I'm automatically grumpy because I'm 50, but I'm not old because she's nearly 50.

Then she is in for a treat - for the next 60 years or so

There's a new catch phrase about to hit the streets.

"Old, but not obsolete"

So guess where its coming from ?

There are old guys younger than me.

I have to cope with that before considering any grumpiness.

34 and your wife says you are grumpy? It really is time to get a new wife

New models tend to need less maintenance and lower mileage. YMMV

A New wife, or a New life? That's the question...

Don't risk that. Suppose the new wife/life worked out real well?
What would there be left to really grump about?
Don't take away my motivation!

My wife's been grumpy since her seventieth birthday and just because I told her I wanted to exchange her for two thirty five year olds

Ah.. she has nothing to worry about... one probably doesn't have that much lose change in the pocket, to support two, let anyone one.

some people are just naturally miserable bastards and they get worse as they get older. Avoid them.

With experience previously gained, the replacement models have lower maintenance, fewer miles, and more care free. Mine likes to help with carrying the camera equipment. I can use as much space as I want for the darkroom too.
