I knew I'd regret not buying a spare. I need an 8x10 ground glass to fit my Shen FCL. I'm thinking with in the EU would be best.

Geert in Belgium makes good ground glasses:

Good heavens, I did not know that a fellow countryman made such a wonderful product, shame on me!
Sorry Geert!

Sorry if I'm stealing the tread but does anyone have any experience with the "Lumigrid" on the GVB glass? Is it worth the money?

Hello Marcus,

there won't be many opinions yet as the first groundglasses with Lumigrid have only been shipped as from the 2nd half of november. A little bit of patience and opinions will soon rise.

The Lumigrid is exactly as described: it is a transparant but visible grid that does not disturb the image on the groundglass.
I would not recommend it for die-hard architectural photographers. A black grid is better for them, although luminosity is less than with a Lumigrid.

As a sidenote, I temporarily removed the groundglass with "black grid" (soon to be ClassiGrid) from the products page because I am currently working on a better method to apply a permanent black grid on the groundglass. Stay tuned!

Kind regards,
Geert
