the matthews thing is missing lots of fun stuff
they have zero entries under O? what about onky bonk? -same as platypus
platypus- vise grips with a "bill" welded onto the jaws that's used for holding 4x4 and 4x8 bead board bounces
charlie bar- long skinny flag made of luan
wag flag- a charlie bar with a piece of duvetyne or black rip stop rolled onto it that you unroll to the size needed
mouse trap- metal bracket used to clip dolly track together
diving board- long board that slides into a fisher dolly for the operator to stand on
pork chop- another board for Fisher dollies that happens to be shaped like a pork chop
cow catcher- low metal board that slides into the front of a pee wee dolly for operator or focus puller to stand on
teaser- 1x4 board with duvetyne stapled to it used to remove unwanted light
grip-to-ground adapter- full apple box
fluff & buff- makeup and hair department
pizza box- 2x2 bounce board
producer- a knot in a stinger* (not really grip related but still funny) *extension cord
safety meeting- that's when the grips gather to smoke a joint
I could go on for days, maybe someday I'll put a list together

Well PLEASE do it here!

edit: I know a lot of those deff's are different than what I learned and some I've never heard before, like "lettuce" for a single or "tomato" for a double, but I get it cuz of the rim color. When I hang a silk from a T-bar it is totally different than the T-bar they list, and I've been looking around for a better term but can't seem to find one.

Interesting link. I'd say 90% of the terms I'd never heard. Well, some I could deduce.

Interesting for me as being into dictionaries (just today had some talk and research on the use of spool vs, reel in cinematography).

For practical reasons: nihil. I'm a one-man team... Not yet talking to myself...
