Hi guy's,

So until I don't get my Nikon repaired, I'm using my praktica TL1000.
For the Nikon, there are dedicated grips for it but not for the praktica from what I've seen - that's a problem for me.

I'm selling my rangefinder so that I can stick to the "big boys", and even so, they aren't big as my hands would like. So I need to find a grip until I can get the Nikon repaired.
Does anyone knows a cheapish general grip for these cameras or there are grips created for them?
It would help alot..

Thanks

There are no special grips for any Praktica.

But what you could use is a flash-rail with a grip. That is a bar that is screwed to the bottom of the camera, stretches beyond one side of ther camera and has a hand-grip at that end, onto which a flash can be mounted.

There also are pistol-grips that are screwed under a camera. They got a realease that by cable is to be linked mechanically to the camera release.

But both types of grips are no longer made, you have to look for old ones.

Available new (from Kaiser) are loops that consist of a padded belt, one end of which is screwed under the camera, the other end is fixed to the right strap-lug. Such loop would attach the camera to your hand without much pressure of the fingers, still allowing them to control the camera directly.

I already have a flash and that gets a little bulkier to carry
The strap idea is nice
