Hi all,

I've just recently started working with film and silver printing. For that matter, my photographic endeavors are also fairly recent, having caught a bad case of the photographic bug around September '07. I had the pleasure of taking Dead Link Removed Black and White I class this past quarter with Jahnavi Lisa Barnes; a fine introduction to camera, film development and darkroom basics.

Suffice it to say that I'm thoroughly hooked. I've set myself up for film dev at home, producing some wonderful early results with Pyrocat-HD. Thus far I've been shooting 35mm, and am already looking forward to larger negatives... with my eye currently on 6x7 options.

Be seeing you,
John

Welcome to APUG John. Where are you from?

Steve.

Hello from Richmond Va. I shoot 35mm, 6x6 and 6x7. There are some good deals on 6x7 cameras out there.

Jeff

welcome. oh fellow slippery slope stepper

I've been at this for a few decades, and still can remenber fondly the first rolls I processed myself in my bedroom at night. Happy to see that you have caught the bug.

Keep at it.

Remember, after a point, it is you that makes the images, not the gear.

I have a basement full of stuff, and I still make most of my images that I like best with a simple TLR and its prime lens pair.

Hi John,

I've been interested in photography for years, but it's only since last September as well that it's gone into high gear for me. I think I've spend more money this past year on film, paper, chemicals, darkroom equipment, and cameras than all my other years that I've been at this combined. And the guys here don't make it any easier for you to keep temptation at bay with all their encouragement.

Welcome to APUG!

Hi John, welcome to APUG. And enjoy the slippery slope as the alchemy takes hold of you.

Hi John,
Welcome from Northern Virginia. If you like 35, you'll love the bigger negative of 6x7.
