Hello,

I've been a lurker here for awhile now, and I decided to take the plunge and become full fledged member. Photography has been a hobby of mine for the past 15 years or so, but it was recently that I decided to put myself out there more. I travel a lot, and the vast majority of my photographs were taken on my journeys. As a matter of fact, I always thought of myself as a traveller first. Photography was my way of sharing my awe of other places and cultures.

All of my work thus far has been 35mm B&W. I would love to someday try out larger formats, but I can't imagine backpacking through the Himilayas with such a large camera (my f4 is too much as it is).

Anyway I'll post some images, but please excuse the scan quality as my scanner is not the greatest. I'm still working on getting some of my older images scanned in as well. I participated in my first postcard exchange last month, and just signed up for the print exchange. Really looking forward to it.

I've already learned quite a bit from this forum, and look forward to becoming a more active member of this great community.

Thanks,
Nick...

Nick,

Welcome to APUG from NYC (actually, up in Copake, NY tonight....).

I'm still mainly a 35mm shoot myself - but have begun doing some MF work too.

Whatever you enjoy - this is a great place to share it with like-minded folk.

Welcome Nick from western Massachusetts. Your first posts to the gallery sure have some strong images. I look forward to seeing more.
There are some medium format systems that are just as easy to carry around as 35mm. :D
It's good to have you aboard APUG.

Hello Nick,

Welcome to APUG. I'm sure you'll find it a great place to interact with others and gain useful tips about analog photography.
