Hi! I just found your intro!I also have a Besseler 23C III XL. Let me know if you would be interested in a very casual "Photo Pen Pal" situation. I am looking for one or two people to regularly exchange 5x7( ish) prints with one monthly (ish) basis. It will give me a good project to do for myself each month and help me to learn from someone else as well.
For sure!
Looking at your profile, I see you made a post in quarterly photo pen pal thingy they do regularly. Should be fun to do that as well!
Yes, I am interested! I cannot PM yet since my account is new. Once I reach the post/days requirement, let's PM and get it going!
Welcome to Photrio!
Lurk no more. I too have a Hasselblad 503 CX with the 30mm Fisheye C, 50mm CF, 80mm CF, 100mmCF, 150mm CF, 250mm, 500mm C, 45 degree PME prism, and the 903 SWC.
Awesome!
Have you used the 120mm macro? Been eyeing that one. My 80mm with tubes has sufficed for now. I never use the 80 other than for occasional macro with the tubes, so i have debated getting rid of it.
I also have a prism, but find it too cumbersome to get my eye to, so I usually use the waist finder.
The 500! Nice, I ended up with the 250. Was afraid of getting too tight.
Greetings! Long-time lurker...finally busting out and becoming active on Photorio.
I began my journey into film about one year ago, purchasing a Hasselblad 503CX with 80mm len. Two months later, I converted my spare bathroom into a darkroom with a Beseler 23CIIIXL....And then 3 months after that, I acquired the 250mm and 50mm lenses, as well as 3 extension tubes for macro work with the 80mm.
I also took Bruce Barnbaum's black & white darkroom workshop last summer. I learned more from him than any college course I have ever taken! Amazing photographer and educator.
Aaaaannd, now I just acquired a Wisner 8x10!
Needless to say, I went all in on film! I mostly do landscape/nature scenes, with some abandoned buildings as well. I enjoy Fuji Acros 100 and Kodak Tri-X films.
Well, time to go scour the classifieds for lenses for my Wisner, and a backpack, and hopefully an 8x10 darkroom enlarger...
Kyle
8x10 is beautiful as a contact print.
