Hi all-
I'm tachoknight (Ron IRL) and I've always been interested in photography since I watched my dad developing film in his darkroom. He taught me pretty much everything there is to know about B&W and color (he developed and printed color) and I didn't really appreciate how much he knew until I couldn't ask him questions anymore.
I have his Nikon F3, Canon 5D mk2 (that I installed Magic Lantern on), along with all his portrait-shooting equipment (lights, tripods, backdrops, etc.). I purchased a couple of GoPros that I use primarily for photography, not video (which I suppose makes me a bit outside their use case), and I have a I'm-not-worthy-to-use Leica Q2.
My interests are ... pretty much everything. I love film, digital, as well as alternative photo taking processes (three pinhole cameras and counting). I'm also super-interested in the printing aspect, from high-end computer-driven printers to salt printing. I'm currently building a UV box with some other folks at my hackerspace for palladium printing, etc.
I hope to learn from all the folks here and make pictures that my dad would have thought were good.
Ron
