Niglyn's thread 'Build a shutter tester for Focal Plane shutters - Cheap, Easy & it Works' prompted me to finally sign up!

When lockdown started in 2020 I decided to resurrect my Olympus OM equipment and go back to film, and have also started colour developing in addition to B&W. No room for a darkroom so I'm hybrid.

Of course, lockdown and Ebay have resulted in a considerable growth of my OM gear. Whilst my main focus is on 35mm I've recently (a week ago) finally shot a roll of (very) expired Ilford Pan F through my Dad's old Mamiya 16 Automatic and I've also got a couple of MF cameras which are occasionally exercised.

Welcome to Photrio, @Flighter! What took you so long  No, really - welcome aboard

Nice to hear you're also doing color. Perhaps the darkroom will follow, one day? I'd highly recommend printing your work - it's so much fun, and very satisfying!

Thanks koraks. Yes, I'm not the fastest!

I did do some black and white printing when I first got into photography in the 1970s - I had a tiny darkroom in a cupboard in my parent's bedroom, enlarger on a shelf with trays on the shelf below - great fun. I've never done colour though but would like to get a darkroom again.

Last weekend's novelty was developing my first Vision 3 film (in very tired C41 chemistry) but really done as a trial run for seeing how I would get on with remjet removal.

Welcome to Photrio! It's been far too long since I've been to Scotland, hoping to possibly remedying that later this year.

Welcome from an old Scotland lover.

Thanks Chrismat and mono. We have had a nice sunny day for a change but with a cold wind. Views out the window are looking very photo-worthy and I'm stuck inside working. No doubt it will be overcast by the weekend. Such is life!

Welcome to APUG Photrio!!

Welcome to Photrio from Western Canada. I am sure you will get enjoyment from this site

Thanks Andrew, that's quite a bit further north than I am, I've got up as far as Inverness, but would like to see a bit farther north someday.

Thanks SJC1952, I've seen a bit more of Fife than I have of the north.

Thanks Eric, I hope you have a good trip, the weather will hopefully still be good then. The east coast weather is usually dryer that what we have in the west.

Thanks mshchem, he's the youngest of our 3 cats bur probably has the most attitude!
