When lockdown started in 2020 I decided to resurrect my Olympus OM equipment and go back to film, and have also started colour developing in addition to B&W. No room for a darkroom so I'm hybrid.
Of course, lockdown and Ebay have resulted in a considerable growth of my OM gear. Whilst my main focus is on 35mm I've recently (a week ago) finally shot a roll of (very) expired Ilford Pan F through my Dad's old Mamiya 16 Automatic and I've also got a couple of MF cameras which are occasionally exercised.
Welcome to Photrio, @Flighter! What took you so long No, really - welcome aboard
Nice to hear you're also doing color. Perhaps the darkroom will follow, one day? I'd highly recommend printing your work - it's so much fun, and very satisfying!
I did do some black and white printing when I first got into photography in the 1970s - I had a tiny darkroom in a cupboard in my parent's bedroom, enlarger on a shelf with trays on the shelf below - great fun. I've never done colour though but would like to get a darkroom again.
Last weekend's novelty was developing my first Vision 3 film (in very tired C41 chemistry) but really done as a trial run for seeing how I would get on with remjet removal.
Thanks Chrismat and mono. We have had a nice sunny day for a change but with a cold wind. Views out the window are looking very photo-worthy and I'm stuck inside working. No doubt it will be overcast by the weekend. Such is life!
Thanks Eric, I hope you have a good trip, the weather will hopefully still be good then. The east coast weather is usually dryer that what we have in the west.
