Okay, so I kept seeing threads from this group pop up in Google Searches on film related topics and finally today joined up.
My name is Alex, or Axle (if you're from PReview or UER that's my handle there as well) from the growing town of Milton, ON (But i spend a lot of time in Oakville at work, and Hamilton, Toronto...pretty much anywhere I can travel to). I began this wonderful journey into photography way back in 2002 when I picked up a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s at a garage sale. I actually still have that camera today, the light meter is long dead, but mechanically it still works.
I continued to use Minolta products through the early days of my photography, upgrading to an SRT-102, then X-7a, even my first digital was a Konica-Minolta.
Then I switched over to Nikon with an F80, which earlier this year passed away. Replaced with an F3 and F4. I also very recently got back into Instant Photography (Thanks mostly to the Film Photography Podcast) with a couple of SX-70s, Colorpack II, and Automatic 210, Spectra, and Mini 7s. Also welcomed into the fold Medium format cameras, mostly TLRs (which are a blast to use!) and a Pentax 645. The most recent addition to the arsenal is a Leica IIIf with a 50mm Elmar f/3.5 lens.
As for subjects, I shoot pretty much anything and everything. Mostly Buildings (Both active and abandoned) and people, with a smattering of street photography thrown in.
I can't wait to join in and participate in this group!
