Hi, my name is Andrew, I've been a lurker on this site for a fair while but recently I've decided it's time improve my picture-taking and printing and I think this site will help me a lot.
I've alway's received lots of info and good advice from members when I've posted questions here and I love some of the pictures that people have posted. Some of them are really inspiring.
Basically I think this site is really, really good and I'm excited about checking it out more and joining the monthly challenge and the blind print exchange as well.
The stuff in my gallery is just the best of what I had on the computer at work, some of it's pretty old but I promise I'll get some new pictures out there soon.
A little bit more about me... I came over to London from Canada in 1998 to find some work in TV and I was very lucky, I got something right away. 6 years ago, thanks to having a job with office hours for the first time in years, I took a night course in B+W printing--it was something I always wanted to do--and it changed my life. At about the same time my ancient Minolta SLR died and I got a good camera with a fab 28-105 lens and I haven't looked back.
The other great thing was that I found a community darkroom down the road from me and I've been a volunteer there ever since. If you've got a minute check out www.zoom-in.org, it's a great place. If you're ever in South London you should come by and check it out.
See y'all online!
