I didn't say anything about satay, Nige, just liveability.
Can't say I've tried satay in Singapore. I've only ever been there in transit.
Again, Edgar, welcome from your neighbours to the south.
Welcome form the other "World's most liveable city" (C'mon you guys in Melb, I couldn't pass that one up ;-) )
Welcome to APUG, you'll learn heaps here.
I frequently get to Singapore with my work, and in fact I manage 5 staff there, one of whom is a very keen photographer. It really is a small world! I love the hawker centres and kway chap, Singapore chilli crab etc but don't know that I've ever had satay sticks there...?
Welcome Edgar, I have been to Singapore and well remember the humidity hitting me like a wet flannel as I left the airport!
Things have changed a lot since I was there, I heard they were tearing down Singapore's lovely old city library building, is this true?

Yes they tore that down already. Now we have a modern high-rise library somewhere else in the city. The urban renewers are going for the national stadium next. :-(
And yes, Satays are great supper snacks and they go well with beer.
