Thought it was about time to stop lurking in the forums and start interacting.... My name is Audun (hence the "original" nick) and I am a 23 year old student from Norway(Oslo) who tries to expand my knowledge of photography by actually doing it, and read the apug-forums. So far I have started to feel confident in my self-built and self-taught darkroom, and my pictures are improving for every printing session. If only i could have more time....

Place of birth is the Lofoten Islands, and I DO look forward to spending the holidays with a fridge full of film .... ehh.... the family. Beeing from Lofoten, i enjoy landscape, but after living 3 years in Oslo, my interest for good streetshots have increased a lot.

For now, i don't know if i have any questions, but i think they will come eventually.... Probably when i start doing FB paper, or dev in Pyro (Is it true that it will make your negs glow in the dark???)

Who, me?

No more cameras for a while now - I've got a fridge full of film to shoot first. I need to shoot some 24x30cm sheets to make room for some 120 film soon...

Oh - and -

Velkommen, Audun. Jeg passerte Lofoten for et par år siden på vei til et bryllup på "Yttersida". Lovet meg selv at neste gang skulle jeg ta med storformat, selv MF ble for knuslete til slik natur!

I hope you'll limit yourself to putting film in your fridge, and not your family!

Perhaps we should arrange a little get together again in Oslo for us analog photographers?

There's a roll or two in the fridge awaiting development, and jopefully there will be some pictures worth posting here!

After going from digital to MF, I have been sniffing on some other formats.... and yeah: Large Format is tempting, thou not for the wallet......

Oddly enough I have far more money tied up in MF gear than in LF. And the "running costs" are about the same, per "good picture" at least!

Nice to have you here Audun, I should never had sold you that Hasselblad
Before you know it, you`ll start eyeing eBay for a nice Crown Graphic as a first LF-camera, and after using it for a while, you`ll want a better camera. When you try your first contact prints from 4x5, you`ll start thinking about a larger format, and so it goes...

I just returned from Oslo to visit a friend who lives there on the occasion of his 50th b-day. What a beautiful city. Took the old Leica M6 with me and some HP5. I'm looking forward to visiting again and doing some landscape work in the mountains.

You should'nt have sold it? :rolleyes: Man, if i recieved a nickel for each time i have used my dslr after i bought it, I would need another one to rub them together!
