My name is Archie aka MusicallyMrM. I am a music educator/performer by trade but I have always had a passion for Photography. I shoot a lot of 35mm SLR stuff. I've been shooting this format for over 30 years. I love the creative manipulation I can produce using film-color and B/W. I have not been able to warm up to DSLR from a creative standpoint-probably never will. If it ain't broke, then don't fix it. As long as there are users like me out there, film will be around. I was looking for a site where I could discuss and gather tips and pointers from highly creative film artist and in that way I am enjoying the visit so far. Technology has taken the "heart" out of so much of what was once considered fine art and hopefully there are enough of us out here to keep some of the tradition alive. Glad to be here.
Welcome to APUG, M^3! Yes, you have most definitely found the source for analog photography information. The breadth of knowledge of some of these folks is absolutely awe-inspiring! Even more so is the willingness of forum members to share their knowledge and experience. Again, welcome aboard!
Hey Jeff in Richmond. Not that far from you. I'm in Roanoke Rapids. I was just in Richmond Sunday. I went to Hampton U so I've spent a lot of time in your neck of the woods.
