Discovered this forum only recently but it seems like a civilized place.
Started shooting film a couple of years ago when I bought a K1000 from my ex who studied photography and showed me the difference between film and digital, and I fell in love with the grain, and depth and dynamics of film. I can't put my finger on it but it feeeeels more natural. More romantic perhaps? Grain seems to make things softer and warmer. Like the noise of cassette tape and vinyl. It adds an extra dimension.
Welcome from Newmarket, Ontario. I like your comments about film, I feel the same. K1000 is a good reliable camera, run some film through it and have fun.
Welcome, Sebastiaan. Glad you found this site and are joining in the discussions. Like AgX, I too lived in Belgium -- 2000-2003 in Brussels. I greatly enjoyed your country, and have fond memories of going to brocantes to look for old cameras. Found a few, too!
