A big hello from the north coast!Hello, I am new to this forum but not to photography....been my career since 1973, oh my that is 50+ years and time now passes so quickly.
My focus is photographing works of art for artists, galleries, museums which has involved various film formats over the years. Now I use digital for commercial work and my own personal photography is scanner based capture. I look forward to exploring Photorio.
Welcome neighbour
Hi wang quingHello, nice to meet you. I am a photography enthusiast from China. I'd like to know what your job is like
thank for the welcome koraks.. I do direct capture with a scanner, also referred to as scanography or scannography....here's link to my personal work:Welcome aboard @janet dwyer ! It's very nice indeed to have someone join us with an intimate insight into the world of fine arts.
As to your own work, you mention scanner-based capture - does this mean you photograph on film and then scan, or do you directly capture imagery with just a scanner?
Janet, your work is beautiful! I particularly like your use of color, and your images are varied yet at the same time consistent in their aesthetic. Congratulations!

Right on, I was very influenced / inspired by Olivia Parker’s stunning polaroids I saw in Rochester as a young photo student, early 70s..
