Hello everyone
I am Erich from Austria. I am aged 39, and just bought a Linhof Technika III 13X18 thats probably older than me.
I have used a Nikon FM2 for about ???? years..., sorry cant say , i think i bought it in the 80s.
Haven't done much B&W the last ten years, think this will change with my "new" Linhof. But must do a search in my house before starting the darkroom, there should be an enlarger somethere.

Welcome, Erich!

The Linhof Technika III was my first LF camera as well. They say they're almost indestructible but I somehow managed to "destruct" mine. With even the least bit of care you should have better luck than I did.

What part of Austria are you from? I was born in Wien, but my family moved to the states when I was very young (by way of a 2 year detour through Afghanistan, of all places, but please don't tell Ashcroft.)

Anyway, enjoy the camera and show us some photos of beautiful Austria when you're ready!

Welcome Erich. I like the way you spell your name.

I love kaisersmarns and tafflesfitz (I'm sure I butchered the spelling there, its the Austrian pancakes and beef soup).
