Hello all> Ronin, aka Sid here. I am coming back to photography after a long 10 year hiatus. Had to seel my cameras becasue I found myself going blind around 1995, and subsequently found out that I had a very large tumor in my brain!!! Now that I am somewhat recovered, and my eyesight is somewhat normal, I went out ane bought a 35mm Nikon FM2n, loaded it with triMax B&W and gone to work. Found this wonderful forum a couple of days back, and am very excited to be here and to learn from you all.:smile:

Welcome, Sid. I guess nobody on this forum will appreciate the beauty of light more than you. Hope to see your pictures in the gallery soon.

Thanks for the welcome, Hans and Pete. Sure appreciate it.

Pete, would you be interested in a get-together here in ANn Arbor? I am sure that I could arrange for an APUG exhibition at one of the Galleries either at U-M ( at the Art School), or at one of the galleries in town. Do let me know.

A sincere welcome Sid from Old England, I'm very pleased to hear of your recovery, I'm particularly happy that a fellow photographer has regained his sight, it is indeed wonderful, I hope you enjoy your new camera, and I'm sure you'll get a lot of pleasure from APUG, your amongs friends.

Sid, i would indeed. i am putting the final touches on a body of work perhaps 50 in number. I'll be looking for ways to show some of it.

Welcome to APUG, Sid! Glad to hear you are on the mend! I'm a Wisconsonite now, but I was a Michigander for most of my life.

This is a great community!

Welcome Sid...I'm a former Muskegonite...born there, live here (SO.Cal)
Glad to have you aboard the APUG train.

Welcome and good shooting. The gallery area here is a great way to show your work to a wide range of other traditionalists and the various visitors. Enjoy!
